Welcome to the Pilbara Health Education Aboriginal Corporation’s Site (PHEAC)

Port Hedland is 1765km north west of Perth and is in the Pilbara area of Western Australian.

Port Hedland has been established since 1896.   South Hedland is 13km inland from Port Hedland, which was built on the coast.  The traditional owners of Port Hedland area are the Kariyarra people.  There are over 31 Aboriginal language groups in the Pilbara and they are all strongly connected through their culture and traditional law practices.

PHEAC is extremely passionate on assisting those in and around Port and South Hedland that need our financial assistance in undertaking activities that benefit the local indigenous communities directly through Education and Health. PHEAC has been sponsoring a number of worthy causes over the past few years including many student sporting and education endeavours. PHEAC  is a non-for-profit organisation that is run by a Board of Directors.
